The first thing you should decide is if you want to remove the fuel, stabilize or use it in another engine.

To stabilize, add the stabilizer to the fuel tank according to the product instruction and then run the unit for a few minutes making sure the mixture has made it into the fuel system.

Another option is to drain the fuel and use it in your snowblower, UTV or another unit that takes gasoline.

You will want to remove your battery and store it indoors. When spring comes, charge the battery back up to full charge and then re-install the battery.

Remove the spark plug(s) and squirt a little oil down in the cylinder to lubricate the cylinder walls. Replace the spark plug with a new one. Drain the engine oil and replace it with new. Change the oil filter and replace or clean the air filter. Clean or scrape the underside of the deck and sharpen the blades. Check over your belts and lubricate all the pivot points.
